We’ve expanded our support for the NXP i.MX 7® with the addition of the Toradex Colibri iMX7 SoM and its wide variety of carrier boards to the list of BASEplatform™ supported components.
BASEplatform, an embedded software component designed to provide application developers with all the necessary software modules, BSP, drivers and RTOS integration needed to jump start their embedded software project, is now available for the Toradex Colibri iMX7 SoM. BASEplatform offers support for additional RTOSes such as Express Logic THREADX and Micrium uC/OS-III to both the Cortex-A7 and Cortex-M4 ARM® cores of the i.MX 7. In addition to RTOS drivers and integration, BASEplatform can include support for external board components such as cameras, sensors and more. All with the developer’s choice of RTOS, IDE and toolchain.
The versatile Colibri iMX7 System on Module is available in a variety of configurations including single core and dual core variants along with eMMC or NAND flash storage. Toradex’s SoM offering is also enhanced by a wide variety of carrier boards enabling easy evaluation and prototyping.
