BASEplatform™ now supports the NXP i.MX 7® Heterogeneous Multicore System on Chip.
BASEplatform, an embedded software component designed to provide users with all the necessary software modules, BSP, drivers and RTOS integration needed to jump start their embedded software project, is now available for the NXP i.MX 7. It provides support for a variety of uniprocessor and SMP real time operating systems (RTOSes) as well as bare-metal development on both the Cortex-A7 and Cortex-M4 cores of the i.MX 7.
The i.MX 7 is perfectly suited for high performance embedded applications requiring a combination of computing performance, low power usage and real time responsiveness. By choosing BASEplatform, application developers will be able to select their choice of toolchain, IDE, RTOSes, connectivity stacks as well as support for external board components and peripherals all within one package.
